Open to non-Canadian citizens, including Ugandans, who are not permanent residents of Canada and will pursue eligible research study or training in Québec. Candidates must first be preselected by a participating Québec university or eligible network before the final Fonds de recherche du Québec submission; local preselection deadlines are earlier.

- Research Master’s: CAD 20,000 per year, maximum CAD 40,000; PhD: CAD 25,000 per year, maximum CAD 100,000; postdoctoral: CAD 35,000 for one year; short research stay: CAD 3,000 per month. Includes exemption from international tuition surcharge and health coverage under applicable rules.
