Who can apply

Ugandan first-year applicants are eligible regardless of citizenship and are assessed under the same admission and financial-aid processes as US candidates. Applicants must be completing or have completed secondary school and must not already hold a bachelor\'s or equivalent first university degree. Harvard currently requires SAT or ACT results, subject to its limited alternative-testing provisions.

About this opportunity

Harvard College evaluates international undergraduate applicants without regard to their ability to pay and meets 100% of each admitted student\'s demonstrated financial need. Applicants submit the standard first-year admission application and separate financial-aid documents.

Benefits
International students are eligible for the same need-based aid as US students. Harvard packages assistance according to demonstrated need and does not require an enrolment deposit. Applicants may still pay the USD 90 application fee unless waived, SAT/ACT costs, CSS Profile unless the alternative international form is approved, passport, visa, SEVIS, travel, insurance and any family contribution calculated by Harvard.

Requirements
Common Application, Harvard questions, school report and transcript, two teacher recommendations, SAT or ACT and later midyear/final reports. Financial-aid applicants normally submit the CSS Profile and IDOC documentation; Harvard provides an alternate form for international families for whom the CSS Profile creates serious cost or internet-access hardship.

How to apply
Submit the Common Application and Harvard supplement by January 1 for Regular Decision. Request an application-fee waiver if needed. Complete the international financial-aid requirements by February 1 to receive an aid decision with admission results.
