The official Fall 2027 page explicitly states that international applications will be accepted. Master\'s applicants need a recognised four-year bachelor\'s degree, normally an A- average in the final two years, four to six full-course equivalents in psychology, statistics and laboratory research experience. Applicants with prior clinical-psychology graduate training may seek direct PhD consideration, subject to equivalency review.
The University of Toronto Scarborough\'s Counselling and Clinical Psychology MA/PhD programme accepts international applications for Fall 2027. It provides research and clinical training with guaranteed minimum funding during the two MA years and four PhD years for students in good standing.
Benefits
Guaranteed minimum package for students in good standing: CAD 23,500 plus tuition and incidental fees annually for the two MA years, followed by CAD 40,000 including tuition annually for four PhD years. Packages can include fellowships, research assistantships, teaching assistantships and scholarships.
Requirements
Strong psychology background, statistics and research experience; CV; transcripts; two recommendations; three-page statement of interest; identification of suitable faculty and research interests; application fee; and English proficiency where required. GRE is not required. The programme is designed as a six-year MA-to-PhD route and is not intended as a stand-alone terminal master\'s degree.
How to apply
The portal opens at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on 1 October 2026. Submit the application, references, documents and fee by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on 1 December 2026.
