Applicants worldwide who hold or will complete an eligible bachelor\'s degree before enrolment and satisfy the programme\'s academic and English-language admission criteria.
Joint European master\'s programme in public policy delivered by a consortium of leading institutions. Outstanding applicants from outside and within Europe can compete for Erasmus Mundus scholarships covering programme costs and providing monthly support.
Benefits
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarships are awarded to the highest-ranked applicants for the full 24-month programme. Recipients receive a full tuition-fee waiver and a contribution of EUR 1,400 per month, up to a maximum of EUR 33,600 over 24 months, intended to assist with travel, visa, installation, subsistence and other costs. The consortium purchases qualifying health insurance for all enrolled students for the study period plus two weeks before and two months after. Additional support may be available for students with qualifying individual needs. The scholarship does not separately cover the programme\'s Study Visit, estimated at EUR 600-1,000, Winter School, estimated at EUR 600-1,000, or travel and visa expenses between the student\'s home country and consortium universities.
Requirements
Applicants must submit the CEU online application with official or translated higher-education transcripts and degree certificates, or proof of expected graduation for final-year applicants, a full CV or resume, a statement of purpose of no more than 500 words and two confidential recommendation letters submitted electronically by referees. Applicants who are not exempt must submit an accepted English test such as TOEFL iBT 95, IELTS Academic 7.0, Cambridge C1/C2 at the published level, PTE Academic 76 or Duolingo 130. Applicants select one mobility track and indicate scholarship interest in the same online form; there is no separate Erasmus Mundus scholarship application.
How to apply
Create an account in the Central European University online application portal when applications open on September 1, 2026. Select Mundus MAPP and one of its four mobility tracks, upload all required academic and supporting documents, register two referees and indicate that Erasmus Mundus financial-aid consideration is requested. Submit the complete application by December 1, 2026 at 23:59 CET for scholarship consideration.
