Applicants of any nationality proposing an eligible cyber-defence research project who meet the doctoral-enrolment, academic-record and Swiss host-professor requirements for the relevant application stage.
Cyber-defence doctoral fellowships providing salary plus research and conference support for up to four years, with a possible extension under programme rules.
Benefits
The fellowship provides a contribution toward the fellow\'s salary, including applicable social-security costs, according to the host institution\'s salary scale. It also provides up to CHF 3,000 per year for research costs and up to CHF 5,000 per year for conference costs. Doctoral support is available for up to four years, with a possible extension of up to one additional year under programme rules.
Requirements
Applicants must develop an eligible doctoral research project relevant to Swiss cyber defence and satisfy the doctoral-enrolment and Swiss host-supervision requirements. Applications and supporting documents must be submitted in English through the EPFL online platform. Candidates progressing to Stage Two must secure the required endorsement from an eligible Swiss professor and submit the fuller project information required by the fellowship process.

From the opening date, review the 15th-call guidelines and toolkit on the CYD Doctoral Fellowship page and submit the Stage One application through EPFL\'s online submission platform by the deadline. Candidates selected for Stage Two must complete the additional application requirements and obtain the required Swiss host-professor endorsement.
