UK and international applicants with strong academic preparation and research potential who meet the chosen pathway\'s requirements and submit required materials including references and valid GMAT or GRE scores.
Fully funded doctoral programme in areas including analytics and operations, economics and public policy, finance, management and entrepreneurship, and marketing. Funding includes full tuition fees for UK or overseas students plus a living stipend for up to five years.
Benefits
The Business School funds admitted doctoral students with a full tuition-fee waiver at the applicable Home or Overseas rate and a tax-free living stipend for up to five years through its Graduate Teaching Assistant Scholarship structure. The published 2026-27 stipend is £29,580 per year, with the 2027-28 rate expected to be adjusted when published. Additional support is available for approved conference attendance and external research training. Sixth-year support may be considered on a case-by-case basis through teaching or research assistant arrangements.
Requirements
The application requires a curriculum vitae, statement of purpose, complete academic transcripts, two academic references, valid GMAT or GRE scores and evidence of English-language proficiency where required. Applicants must identify their intended research area and are encouraged to consider potential supervisors. Imperial indicates strong benchmark performance around the 90th percentile on standardized tests, with indicative scores including GMAT 700 or GMAT Focus 655 and GRE scores around 165 Quantitative, 163 Verbal and 5.0 Analytical Writing.
