Full opportunity detailsGraduate applicants of any nationality applying to an eligible Oxford master\'s or DPhil course. Selection is based primarily on outstanding academic merit and potential.
Major Oxford graduate scholarship covering full course fees and providing a living-cost grant. Applicants are automatically considered when applying by the relevant course funding deadline.
Benefits
Clarendon scholarships cover University and course fees in full for both Home and Overseas students. Full-time scholars receive an annual grant for living costs at least equivalent to the UKRI minimum doctoral stipend rate for the relevant year. Part-time scholars receive a study-support grant calculated according to the intensity and fee-liability period of their course. Funding normally continues for the full period for which the student is liable for course fees.
Requirements
There is no separate Clarendon application or separate scholarship document package. Applicants must submit a complete Oxford graduate-course application, including the academic records, references, statement or research proposal and any other materials required by the selected course, by that course\'s relevant December or January funding deadline. Successful candidates normally demonstrate first-class or equivalent academic performance and strong evidence of academic potential.
How to apply
Apply directly to an eligible Oxford Master\'s or DPhil course and submit the complete graduate application by the relevant course\'s December or January funding deadline. Applicants who meet the deadline are automatically considered for Clarendon by their academic department, so no separate scholarship form is submitted.
