Ugandan researchers may apply to the European Postdoctoral Fellowship route because it is open to all nationalities. Applicants must hold a PhD by the call deadline or have successfully defended the doctoral thesis and must satisfy the programme\'s research-experience and mobility conditions. A proposal must be submitted jointly with an eligible European host organisation.
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships support researchers in gaining new skills through international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility. European Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality moving to or within Europe.
Benefits
The 2026 call has a total indicative budget of €399.05 million. Funding supports the researcher\'s employment and mobility and provides applicable institutional contributions for research, training and management under MSCA rules. European Postdoctoral Fellowships normally last 12 to 24 months.
Requirements
The applicant and host organisation jointly prepare a research and training proposal demonstrating scientific excellence, career-development value, appropriate supervision, mobility and implementation. The researcher must meet PhD and mobility rules and the host must be established in an eligible EU Member State or associated country.
How to apply
Identify an eligible host and supervisor, develop the MSCA proposal together and submit it electronically through the European Commission Funding and Tenders Opportunities Portal before September 9, 2026 at 17:00 CEST.
