Uganda qualifies because it is an ODA-eligible least developed country. Eligible applicants include qualifying NGOs, international NGOs, community-based and Indigenous organisations, universities, academic institutions, research institutes, think tanks, private-sector entities and eligible consortia. Proposed projects must qualify as ecosystem-based adaptation and address climate risks through biodiversity and ecosystem approaches.
The Global EbA Fund\'s eighth small-grants call supports innovative projects that remove systemic barriers to scaling ecosystem-based adaptation. The 2026 window places particular priority on least developed countries and small island developing states.
Benefits
Each selected project can receive up to USD 250,000 for implementation lasting up to 24 months. Funding is intended to strengthen institutional and technical capacity, generate evidence and data, support learning networks, improve investment readiness and catalyse scalable ecosystem-based adaptation.
Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate an identified climate impact, a clear ecosystem-based adaptation approach, innovation and potential for scaling. Required application materials include the programme application form, budget, Applicant Declaration, applicable co-applicant mandate and due-diligence or financial-capacity information.
How to apply
Download the application materials and prepare the proposal and budget before the portal opens. Submit the complete application through the Global EbA Fund\'s online platform between 2026-09-28 and 2026-10-26.
