Applicants must be African and aged 21 to 35 on 2026-09-20, making eligible Ugandan young people able to apply. An existing business is not mandatory; candidates may apply with an agricultural problem, market opportunity, enterprise idea or early-stage initiative. Participants need sufficient English and must be able to commit five to seven hours weekly.
The Free Markets & Agripreneurship Fellowship helps young Africans develop agricultural enterprises, market-expansion solutions and stronger understanding of regional agrifood trade. Twenty fellows will join the 2026 Pan-African cohort.
Benefits
The three-month programme is completely free. Fellows receive live online instruction, practical weekly assignments, mentorship, a dedicated fellowship portal, AfCFTA and regional agrifood-market training and support to develop a tested enterprise or market-expansion concept. The two strongest completed capstones receive additional funding support, although the provider does not publish a fixed cash amount.
Requirements
Applicants provide personal and location information, education and current-work background and details of their agricultural idea, enterprise, market problem or early-stage initiative. Shortlisted applicants participate in an online interview. Fellows must meet attendance, assignment and capstone requirements for certification.
How to apply
Complete the official online fellowship application, including citizenship, residence, professional background and agricultural-enterprise or market-solution information. Submit by 2026-09-20. Shortlisted candidates proceed to an online interview before final selection.
