Full opportunity detailsUgandan citizens are eligible as third-country nationals if they hold at least a Master\'s-level qualification and are coming to France to conduct research or teach at university level under an approved hosting agreement. The hosting organisation must be authorised to issue the agreement and the applicant must meet normal French visa and residence requirements.
France\'s researcher Talent Passport enables qualified non-EU researchers to reside in France while carrying out research or higher-education assignments. The route is based on a hosting agreement issued by an approved French research or higher-education institution.
Benefits
Researchers can receive a long-stay visa or multi-year Talent residence permit aligned with the research contract and valid for up to four years where applicable. Eligible family members can accompany the principal applicant through the Talent family route, and qualifying spouses receive work authorisation under the residence framework.
Requirements
Applicants need a valid passport, Master\'s-level or higher academic qualification, a hosting agreement issued by an approved French research or higher-education institution, details of the research assignment and the identity, civil-status and other visa documents requested by France-Visas.
How to apply
Secure a research or higher-education position with an authorised French host and obtain the official hosting agreement. Complete the France-Visas online process, determine the appropriate Talent Researcher visa category, assemble the supporting documents and submit the application through the competent French consular service.
