Uganda is eligible as an ODA-recipient country. Eligible applicants include qualifying NGOs, international NGOs, community-based and Indigenous Peoples\' organisations, universities and academic institutions, research institutes and think tanks, private-sector organisations and eligible consortia. Applicants must be legally recognised and demonstrate appropriate experience in ecosystem-based adaptation and the proposed project geography.
The Global EbA Fund\'s first medium-size grant window supports collaborative, innovative projects capable of overcoming systemic barriers to scaling ecosystem-based adaptation. The call emphasises strategic scaling, enabling environments, locally led adaptation and global learning and policy influence.
Benefits
Each selected project can receive up to USD 500,000 for implementation lasting up to 24 months. Funding can support strategic ecosystem-based adaptation scaling, enabling-environment improvements, technical and institutional capacity, innovative financing approaches, locally led interventions, policy uptake, investment-ready concepts and knowledge generation.
Requirements
Applications must qualify as ecosystem-based adaptation, demonstrate innovation and scalability and address at least one Global EbA Fund strategic objective and the permitted number of action pillars. Required documents include the Medium-Size Grants Application Form, Project Proposal Budget Template, Applicant Declaration, Co-applicant Mandate where applicable and the Due Diligence and Financial Capacity Questionnaire with required annexes.
How to apply
Download and prepare the official application package before the submission window. The online submission portal will become available on the Medium-Size Grants page on 2026-10-12. Submit the application form, budget, declarations, mandates and due-diligence materials through the online platform by 2026-11-16.
