Ugandan startups qualify under the programme\'s Africa-wide eligibility. Applicants must be based in Africa or build solutions for African markets, have a prototype or minimum viable product, have a committed founding team, address a defined environmental or climate challenge through technology and demonstrate credible potential for growth and scalability.
UNDP\'s timbuktoo GreenTech Launchpad supports technology-driven African startups developing solutions for the green transition and climate resilience. Focus areas include clean energy, environmental technology, circular-economy solutions and scalable climate-resilience innovations.
Benefits
Selected ventures receive structured venture-building and incubation support, expert mentorship, digital tools, connections to the wider timbuktoo network of founders, investors and innovation partners and support for investment readiness, market access and scaling. The programme creates access to investor and ecosystem opportunities but does not guarantee a fixed cash investment to every selected startup.
Requirements
Applicants must provide founder and team information, describe the GreenTech product or MVP, the environmental problem addressed, target market, technology, current traction, business model and growth potential. The venture must demonstrate both innovation and a credible African-market use case.
How to apply
Complete the official timbuktoo Launchpad application with founder, startup, technology, market and traction information. Applications are explicitly accepted on a rolling basis and are considered for the programme\'s successive startup cohorts.
