Eligible recipient types include nonprofit organisations, private companies, universities, think tanks and research institutes, allowing qualified Ugandan organisations to compete. Applicants must satisfy IFAD grant-financing eligibility rules and demonstrate relevant institutional expertise in the priority area and countries or regions covered by the proposed initiative.
IFAD is selecting an organisation or consortium to implement an initiative using its Rural Sector Performance Assessment to strengthen evidence-based policy and investment. The grant focuses on turning rural-sector data and diagnostics into practical decision-making tools and investment insights.
Benefits
IFAD can provide grant financing of up to USD 1.2 million. The selected recipient must provide the required counterpart contribution under the grant framework; in-kind contributions can be considered where permitted.
Requirements
Mandatory submission documents are a project proposal using the Grant Concept Note Template aligned to IFAD\'s Grant Identification Note, an activity-based indicative budget, the applicable self-certification of eligibility for IFAD grant financing and a brief institutional profile documenting relevant thematic and geographic expertise. Applicants must accept the Grant Design Document framework used for later grant development.
How to apply
Download and complete all mandatory templates from the official IFAD call page. Prepare the concept note, activity-based budget, eligibility self-certification and institutional profile and submit the full package using the official submission instructions with the required subject reference before 2026-09-04 at 12:00 CET.
