Candidates must qualify for direct-entry PhD study at Macquarie University and have academic preparation relevant to artificial intelligence, engineering, information technology, machine learning, systems engineering or related quantitative fields.
This industry-sponsored PhD develops AI-enabled digital twins for aged-care and rehabilitation facilities. Research covers predictive models, real-time IoT and enterprise-data integration, optimisation, fall prevention, resource allocation and automated clinical decision support.
Benefits
The scholarship provides a tuition-fee offset and an indexed living allowance of AUD 40,900 per year for three years. The scholar also works with industry engineers and gains practical experience in machine-learning deployment, digital-twin architecture, data orchestration, enterprise systems and model management.
Requirements
Applicants must satisfy Macquarie\'s PhD admission requirements and demonstrate academic and research preparation suitable for the project. Formal admission documentation includes qualifying academic records, English-language evidence and the other graduate-research materials requested by the University.
