Full opportunity detailsEligible Ugandan applicants must be voluntary nongovernmental organisations legally authorised under Ugandan law and headquartered in Uganda. The organisation must have operated for at least three years, possess independent legal and financial status, not be a branch or affiliate of a foreign NGO, have no prohibited political aims and demonstrate sufficient administrative and technical capability and successful development-project experience.
AGFUND finances development projects implemented by eligible nongovernmental organisations in humanitarian, social, educational, medical, scientific, civil and technical fields. The programme evaluates proposals against AGFUND\'s development priorities and organisational-capacity requirements.
Benefits
Successful organisations receive project grant financing following AGFUND\'s technical and financial assessment. AGFUND does not publish a single standard grant amount or fixed award ceiling for the general NGO project-funding route.
Requirements
Applicants must provide articles of association, organisational structure, official registration, audited financial statements for the required period, the previous two years of externally audited financial reports and recommendation or support letters from two organisations with which the applicant has worked. The project submission must accurately describe the proposed development intervention and its budget.
How to apply
Review AGFUND\'s project-funding criteria, complete the NGO Development Project Funding Request Form and prepare the registration, governance, audited financial and recommendation documents. Submit the complete project package through AGFUND\'s official funding channel. AGFUND states that NGO proposals are received for Board cycles around mid-April and mid-October but does not publish an exact calendar date for the upcoming October cutoff.
