Who can apply

Applicants may be individuals, informal groups or eligible startup nonprofit organisations worldwide, including Uganda. Projects must have a charitable community purpose and cannot be designed for personal profit. Groups or organisations must not have paid staff apart from occasional contracted professional services, and applicable organisational budget limits and programme exclusions must be satisfied. Applicants must be able to receive payment in U.S. dollars by wire transfer or PayPal.

About this opportunity

The Pollination Project provides small seed grants to grassroots changemakers launching practical community-benefit projects. The programme focuses on volunteer-led work where modest early funding can produce tangible real-world impact.

Benefits
Selected projects receive one-time seed funding of up to USD 500. Grantees also gain access to capacity-building support, connections within The Pollination Project\'s global changemaker network, possible future grantee-only funding opportunities, visibility support and assistance connecting with other funders after completing the initial grant.

Requirements
Applicants must describe the community problem, proposed project, intended beneficiaries, implementation plan, budget and their connection to the community served. International applications are not considered complete until the required reference has been successfully submitted. Projects must comply with programme restrictions concerning private benefit, discrimination, political activity, prohibited animal-agriculture activities and other excluded costs.

How to apply
Complete the online Daily Grant application and provide all requested project, applicant and budget information. International applicants must ensure their referee submits the required reference. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; complete applications received during a month are normally reviewed during the following month.
