Ugandan citizens qualify as third-country nationals. Applicants must establish a company developing or launching innovative products, services, processing methods or technologies, submit a consistent business plan, personally exercise controlling influence over management, demonstrate at least EUR 30,000 in company capital with an equity share of at least 50 percent and achieve at least 50 points under Austria\'s startup-founder criteria.
Austria\'s Red-White-Red Card for Start-up Founders enables qualifying third-country entrepreneurs to establish innovative companies in Austria. Eligibility combines innovation, founder control, financing and a points-based assessment.
Benefits
Successful applicants receive a Red-White-Red Card that provides Austrian residence and authorization for the qualifying startup activity. Founders who subsequently meet the applicable conditions can transition to the Red-White-Red Card Plus, which provides broader labour-market access.
Requirements
Applicants need a detailed business plan, evidence of the minimum capital and equity contribution, documents proving qualifications and professional experience used in the points assessment, language certificates where points are claimed, passport and civil-status documents and the other residence documentation required by Austrian authorities.
How to apply
Confirm that the proposed business meets the innovation, financing and minimum 50-point requirements, prepare the business plan and supporting documents and submit the Red-White-Red Card application through the competent Austrian representation abroad or another legally competent Austrian residence authority.
