Ugandan and other international applicants may apply. Applicants need an appropriate bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Mathematics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering and Management or a sufficiently related interdisciplinary programme. Relevant applicants must demonstrate at least 24 ECTS in mathematics, statistics and/or microeconomics, with additional business/economics preparation required for certain related degrees.
A research-oriented Master of Science in Business Administration with an English track available to international applicants. The programme emphasises quantitative, analytical and research-based business education.
Benefits
University of Hamburg charges no general tuition fee. Students pay the semester contribution and finance their living, health insurance, visa and travel costs. The English track allows qualified international applicants to complete the programme without the German-language requirement applicable to the general track.
Requirements
Applicants need a recognised bachelor\'s degree, complete transcript and evidence of the required quantitative and business coursework. For the English track, accepted English evidence includes a fully English-taught university degree, TOEFL iBT at least 95, IELTS at least 7.0, Cambridge C1 Advanced or UNIcert III. Selection uses the bachelor\'s academic result and the GTEBS/TM-WISO aptitude test; applying without GTEBS is possible but gives zero points for that selection component.
How to apply
Apply directly through the University of Hamburg STiNE portal between 1 May and 15 June 2027. Select the English track if appropriate, upload the degree/transcript and quantitative-course evidence, English proof and aptitude-test result if available. Applicants with foreign degrees must submit the required foreign-qualification documentation.
