Ugandan citizens are eligible because UNICEF explicitly welcomes qualified candidates regardless of nationality. Applicants must hold a Master\'s degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, International Relations or Affairs, Public Policy or Communications and have at least ten years of progressively responsible professional experience.
The consultant supports UNICEF\'s Gender Equality Section in producing major institutional and interagency reports on gender equality. The assignment includes compiling evidence and drafting products for the UN System-Wide Action Plan, UNICEF Gender Equality Action Plan reporting and the Global Annual Results Report.
Benefits
The assignment is a paid eight-and-a-half-month consultancy delivered remotely with no travel. UNICEF does not publish a fixed consultancy fee; applicants must submit a separate financial proposal using UNICEF\'s prescribed template.
Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate excellent professional writing skills and specific experience producing reports on gender issues, including gender and health or education. Experience in a UN, international agency or comparable international institution is required, along with strong Microsoft Office and SharePoint capability and full English fluency. French or Spanish is an asset.
