The WTO Internship Programme gives postgraduate students and recent advanced-degree graduates professional experience in international trade and WTO operations. Assignments may involve trade policy, economics, law, statistics, communications, administration and specialist Secretariat functions.
Benefits
Interns receive CHF 60 per day, including weekends and official holidays occurring during the internship, for placements lasting up to six months. Travel to and from Geneva is not funded by the standard programme, and interns must maintain health insurance meeting Swiss requirements.
Requirements
Applicants must complete the WTO online candidate profile and provide education, qualifications and professional information demonstrating academic preparation relevant to WTO work. Individual divisions may seek additional specialist skills.
How to apply
Create a profile on the WTO external jobs platform and submit an application for the WTO Internship Programme. Suitable applications are maintained on the internship roster for one year and candidates may be selected throughout the year.
