Ugandan citizens are eligible as international high-school applicants. Candidates must apply for Fall 2027 admission, graduate from high school during the year of admission or have graduated in the previous year without enrolling in post-secondary study and normally have at least a 90 percent admission average or 31 IB points in the required admission courses.

Simon Fraser University\'s Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships recognise high-school applicants who combine academic excellence with sustained community contributions. International students can compete for a major renewable entrance award.

Benefits
The International Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship is worth CAD 140,000, paid as eight instalments of CAD 17,500. In limited cases an additional CAD 8,000 per term living allowance may be offered to exceptionally talented students with demonstrated financial need. Recipients also receive priority course enrolment.

Requirements
Applicants must first apply for SFU admission and obtain a student number. The scholarship application requests up to five extracurricular activities and achievements, a 500-word personal essay and two references. References and outstanding admission documents must be completed by 2027-01-31.

How to apply
Apply for Fall 2027 undergraduate admission to SFU, obtain a student number and complete the USES application between 2026-10-01 and 2026-12-15. Ensure the two references and remaining admission requirements are complete by 2027-01-31.
