Applicants worldwide, including Uganda, must be eighteen or older. Relevant backgrounds include AI, biological sciences, policy, security and entrepreneurship. Prior formal research experience is not mandatory. International participation depends on securing the applicable visa.

This ten-week fellowship addresses biological risks at the intersection of AI, science and governance. Fellows pursue research, placement or founding projects from 18 January to 26 March 2027.

Written responses about background, biosecurity interests and reasoning. Shortlisted candidates interview with ERA and may complete up to three track-dependent work tests.
