Global South leaders, including Ugandans, need a master\'s degree, substantial relevant experience, strong analytical skills and English proficiency. Scholars must commit fifteen to twenty hours weekly during preparation, participate full-time during residency and obtain a J-1 visa.

Scholars research policy challenges affecting girls, young women and gender-nonconforming learners. The programme combines research preparation, leadership development and a Brookings residency.
