Sub-Saharan African nationals, including Ugandans, registered for a doctorate in the region are eligible. Applicants need an indexed, non-predatory publication, an agreed host and research relevant to regional development that cannot be conducted at home.

These grants fund short regional research visits contributing to doctoral work. Researchers collaborate with scientific hosts outside their home country.

Benefits
Up to EUR 2,300 for one month, EUR 2,650 for 1.5 months or EUR 3,000 for two months, including travel, subsistence and applicable host research costs. Visits run between March and July 2027.

Requirements
English proposal of up to five pages with host agreement; AGNES CV; enrolment proof; transcripts; publications with indexing links and first pages; two return-travel quotes; subsistence estimates; insurance arrangements; and host invitation. Maximum package size is 12 MB.
