Ugandan nationals qualify through FAO membership. Candidates must be aged 21–30 when starting, enrolled in a recognized undergraduate or graduate programme or recently graduated, and proficient in an FAO official language. Appropriate immigration status is required before placement. Specified close relatives of FAO staff are ineligible.
FAO internships provide practical experience in agriculture, food systems and related organizational work. Assignments last three to eleven months.
Benefits
A local-currency stipend not exceeding USD 700 monthly, or sponsorship-funded support, and professional experience. FAO covers service-incurred medical coverage; accommodation and other medical insurance remain the intern\'s responsibility.
Requirements
A completed recruitment profile, motivation letter describing desired work areas, and evidence of attendance at a recognized university.
How to apply
Apply through FAO\'s career portal to a current Call for Expression of Interest and attach the required documents. Unselected candidates must reapply to later calls for continued consideration.
