Ugandan citizens qualify as African Union Member State citizens. Applicants must be under 35, employed in Africa with employer/government permission and a guaranteed return position, and hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree with epidemiology/biostatistics preparation and at least three years of recent postgraduate public-health experience in Africa.

A fully supported two-year Africa CDC fellowship combining intensive epidemiology instruction with applied training at an African host institution. It prepares fellows to investigate outbreaks, analyze surveillance data and strengthen national disease-prevention systems. Advanced FETP fellows or graduates are not eligible. Required documents include an African passport, employer/government support, two references, degree documents, AU CV and a 500-word motivation statement.
