Open to Ph.D. candidates or recent Ph.D. graduates from Sub-Saharan Africa; Ugandan nationals are eligible because Uganda is in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The World Bank Group Africa Fellowship Program gives Ph.D. candidates and recent graduates from Sub-Saharan Africa hands-on development experience. Fellows work on research, policy, technical assistance, or lending operations.

Benefits
Selected fellows spend six months at World Bank Group headquarters or a country office and work on development research and policy assignments.

Requirements
Applicants must be a recent Ph.D. graduate or in the last year of a Ph.D. program, have strong quantitative and analytical skills, and meet the English and age requirements.
