Applicants must be African and aged 21 to 35 on 2026-09-20, making eligible Ugandan young people able to apply. An existing business is not mandatory; candidates may apply with an agricultural problem, market opportunity, enterprise idea or early-stage initiative. Participants need sufficient English and must be able to commit five to seven hours weekly.

The Free Markets & Agripreneurship Fellowship helps young Africans develop agricultural enterprises, market-expansion solutions and stronger understanding of regional agrifood trade. Twenty fellows will join the 2026 Pan-African cohort.
Benefits
The three-month programme is completely free. Fellows receive live online instruction, practical weekly assignments, mentorship, a dedicated fellowship portal, AfCFTA and regional agrifood-market training and support to develop a tested enterprise or market-expansion concept. The two strongest completed capstones receive additional funding support, although the provider does not publish a fixed cash amount.
Requirements
Applicants provide personal and location information, education and current-work background and details of their agricultural idea, enterprise, market problem or early-stage initiative. Shortlisted applicants participate in an online interview. Fellows must meet attendance, assignment and capstone requirements for certification.
