International applicants, including Ugandan citizens, are eligible if they meet admission requirements for the Macquarie Master of Research and can commence in Sydney in Session 1 2027. The award is not available for a Session 2 2027 commencement.

The International Road to Research Scholarship supports international students entering Macquarie University\'s Master of Research in 2027. It is available across a broad range of research fields and is designed as a pathway into advanced research and possible doctoral study.

Benefits
The scholarship provides a tuition-fee offset for a maximum of one year and a living allowance stipend of AUD 40,900 for one year at the published 2027 rate.

Requirements
Applicants must satisfy Master of Research admission requirements and submit a complete graduate research application with academic qualifications, transcripts, English-language evidence and the research-pathway documents required by Macquarie University. Incomplete applications are withdrawn rather than carried into a later scholarship round.
