U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are eligible, so qualified Ugandan scholars may apply. Applicants must hold faculty or faculty emeritus status at an institution of higher education at the time of application and throughout the funded period. Applicants seeking salary replacement must satisfy additional sabbatical and prior-funding conditions.

The Loeb Classical Library Foundation funds qualified scholars pursuing research, publication and other projects in classical studies. Awards support areas including archaeology and Greek and Latin literature without nationality restrictions.

Benefits
Fellowships normally range from USD 1,000 to USD 40,000. Funding may support publication subventions, sabbatical enhancement, travel to libraries or collections, reasonable student research-assistant costs, conferences, dramatic productions, excavations and research materials. Individual requests may be partially funded.

Requirements
Applicants complete the Foundation\'s fellowship application and provide a project description, itemised budget when required, curriculum vitae and three confidential recommendation letters. The project must fall within classical studies and clearly justify the requested costs and scholarly outcomes.
