Ugandan applicants may apply for the summer 2027 intake. Applicants need a recognised bachelor\'s or equivalent degree in Linguistics or a sufficiently related academic discipline and must satisfy the programme\'s subject-relevance and language requirements.

A research-oriented linguistics master\'s allowing advanced study of linguistic theory and methods. The summer 2027 application round is explicitly open to non-EU applicants, including applicants from Uganda.

Benefits
University of Göttingen generally does not charge tuition for consecutive master\'s programmes. Students pay semester fees and are responsible for living, insurance, visa and travel expenses. The programme provides advanced linguistic research training.

Requirements
Applicants need degree or provisional academic documentation, a complete transcript demonstrating relevant prior study and required English-language competence. Recognised English tests or qualifying previous English-language study or experience may establish proficiency under the programme\'s rules. Further programme-specific academic documents must be uploaded in the Faculty of Humanities application portal.
