Ugandan and other non-EU applicants may apply for the summer 2027 intake. Applicants need a B.A. or equivalent degree with at least 50 credits or equivalent in relevant English studies, including at least 25 credits in areas such as Anglophone or North American literature and cultural studies, English linguistics or history of the English language.

An English-language master\'s covering English and North American literature, cultural studies, English linguistics and the history of the English language. The programme can prepare graduates for research, teaching-related careers and later doctoral study.

Benefits
No general tuition fee is charged at University of Göttingen. Students pay semester fees and fund their living, travel, insurance and visa costs. The programme is taught in English and German proficiency is not required for enrolment.

Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor\'s or equivalent degree, transcript demonstrating the required English-studies credits and very good English proficiency proven through an internationally recognised test or another accepted route. The online application requires the programme\'s academic and supporting documents. The final bachelor\'s certificate may be submitted by the programme\'s stated later deadline when permitted.
