WOMEN ONLY. Ugandan women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply. Applicants need a bachelor-equivalent degree, at least a 3.5/4.0 GPA, and admission or enrolment for full-time study in a first master’s or academic/professional doctorate in an eligible STEM field at an accredited U.S. institution.

Women-only international fellowship for graduate STEM study in the United States. AAUW provides US$20,000 for a first master’s degree or US$25,000 for an academic or professional doctorate. Ugandan women may apply if they meet the academic requirements and are admitted or enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. institution. This is partial funding, so applicants should plan for any remaining tuition, living, university and visa costs. Deadline: 17 September 2026 at 5:00 p.m. US Eastern Time.
