Award value or coverage detailsCompetitive scholarships are not guaranteed. Typical support may include up to 100% tuition for PhD, about 75% for STEM Master’s or 60% for other Master’s programmes, plus selected international stipends around QAR 9,000 monthly for PhD or QAR 7,000 for Master’s and possible airfare.
Eligible courses or study areasEligible graduate programmes across Islamic studies, humanities and social sciences, science and engineering, law, health and life sciences, and public policy.

Open to international applicants, including Ugandans, admitted to eligible HBKU Master’s or PhD programmes. Applicants normally need a relevant bachelor’s degree for Master’s or Master’s degree for PhD, competitive grades—often at least 3.0/4.0—and programme-specific English, research and experience requirements.

COMPETITIVE FUNDING | GLOBAL. HBKU offers strong Qatar-based graduate programmes with substantial tuition waivers and possible stipends for selected students, but admission does not guarantee funding. The international deadline is 1 February 2027. A QAR 250 application fee applies; housing is generally paid from the stipend, and tests, documents, visa or unfunded living costs may remain.
